Description
Hitachi Energy's HVDC Light® is a voltage-source converter (VSC) based HVDC transmission system designed for offshore wind integration, grid interconnections, and urban power supply. It supports up to 3 GW capacity at ±640 kV with self-commutation capability, enabling black-start and weak-grid connection without reactive power compensation.
